Peter Title is a Partner with the leading Louisiana law firm Sessions, Fishman & Nathan, where he  maintains an active practice in real estate, and commercial transactions.

He has served as chairman of Trusts, Estates, Probate and Immovable Property Law Section for the Louisiana State Bar Association, as chair of the New Orleans Bar Association Real Property  Committee and is a Fellow of the American College of Mortgage Attorneys. Mr. Title has also served as a member of the Committee on Bar Admissions of the Louisiana State Bar Association.

On December 2, 2021, Peter Title was inducted as President of the Louisiana Land Title Association, a statewide association whose purpose is to protect the land title industry in Louisiana and he served in that position until December, 2023.  He is also  a licensed title insurance agent.

He is listed in 2025-26 and in the last twenty-five prior editions of The Best Lawyers in America, recognized for expertise in real estate law. By vote of his peers, he is also recognized as a one of the “Top Lawyers” for real estate in the  New Orleans Metropolitan area published by  New Orleans Magazine.  He has lectured on real estate and bankruptcy law to many professional groups. He has also authored a two-volume treatise on Louisiana real estate law entitled Louisiana Real Estate Transactions, published in 1991 by Lawyer’s Co-Operative Publishing Company, with a second edition published in 2000 by West Publishing Company and updated annually.

Mr.  Title is a member of the Council of the Louisiana State Law Institute. He served on the Law Institute’s Committee for the Revision of the Louisiana law on Leases and currently serves as a member of its Committee on Common Ownership Regimes (Planned Communities and Condominium Regimes).
