Colleen Migl

Colleen Migl is a Shareholder in the Houston office of Quadros, Migl & Crosby. Recognized for her practical and business-focused approach, she advises clients on a wide range of transactional matters, including commercial real estate transactions, leasing negotiations, corporate acquisitions, and the formation and structuring of new business ventures. Her clients value her ability to balance legal strategy with commercial priorities to help them achieve efficient and effective outcomes.

Representative Real Estate Experience:

• Represent numerous buyers of commercial real estate, ranging from the acquisition or disposition of retail centers to the acquisition or disposition of hotels across the Texas region.
• Represent sponsors of commercial real estate for the development and initial fundraise of a downtown high-rise in Houston, Texas.
• Represent sponsors in the establishment of syndicated funds and special purpose vehicles to facilitate such funds.
• Represent Buyers and Sellers navigate complex easement and encroachment issues in the commercial context across the Houston metropolitan area.
• Represent Buyers and Sellers navigate complex title commitment issues in the commercial context across the Houston metropolitan area, including title commitment issues relating to mechanic’s liens, bankruptcy notices, surveys, utility easements, covenants, probate, underground tanks, and remainder interests of oil and gas.

Colleen’s career foundation is rooted in significant experience gained during her legal education and early practice. While in law school, she interned with the second-largest CPA firm in the United States, the federal government, and a national non-profit organization. She spent her final year of law school as a Shapiro Fellow with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, where she contributed to high-profile securities litigation matters and investigations, working in collaboration with agencies such as the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Department of Justice, and the Internal Revenue Service.

Colleen holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and General Business from Texas Tech University, where she graduated as the highest-ranking student from the Rawls College of Business. She earned her Juris Doctor from The George Washington University Law School, where she was honored with the Presidential Volunteer Service Award in recognition of her extensive pro bono service assisting the homeless and unemployed in Washington, D.C.

Committed to lifelong learning and professional excellence, Colleen returned to Georgetown University to obtain her LL.M. and a Certificate in International Taxation—completed while simultaneously managing multiple major acquisitions for a Fortune 200 company.
