Daniel’s practice includes transactional representation in real property, bankruptcy, corporate and financial services law. Dan has experience representing buyers, sellers and lenders through complicated real estate transactions and has handled the same as the closing, escrow and title agent. That transactional experience has carried forward to litigation practice where he has handled evictions, foreclosures, quiet title actions, declaratory relief and other real estate related matters.

Dan has represented companies and principals in negotiating, drafting and reviewing documents to incorporate a business, as between partners, between the company and its employees (such as phantom stock agreements), between the company and third parties such as vendors, and more.

Dan also represents businesses and individuals in bankruptcy and litigation throughout the state of Florida.  He confirmed the first Subchapter V bankruptcy in the Middle District of Florida, and has helped shepherd businesses of various sizes through a traditional Chapter 11, assisting debtors, creditors, and Chapter 11 and 7 trustees in the prominent industries affecting our area, including real estate development, construction, medical and health care professionals, technology, hospitality, retail, financial services.  Similarly, he has helped shepherd businesses through various lawsuits including partnership disputes, civil theft, protecting proprietary information, alter ego and successor liability claims, breach of contract and more.

Dan is an active member of American Bankruptcy Institute where he serves on its real estate committee, the Florida Bar Business Law Section where he sits on the continuing legal education (CLE) committee, and Tampa Bay Bankruptcy Bar Association, where he is a board member currently holding the CLE committee position.

Dan received his J.D. and M.B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh in December of 2009, where he was a note and comment editor for the Journal of Law & Commerce.  Before that, he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Psychology from the University of Rochester in 2006, where he graduated cum laude and on the Dean’s List.
